Annika Allen is the co-owner of entertainment platform The Colour Network and a seasoned digital marketing and events professional with over 15 years experience.
2017 saw her launch a groundbreaking event called The Black Magic Awards, honouring inspirational and talented women from the world of entertainment, business, music and sport.
She has worked on highly creative campaigns, across both digital, print advertising and events with clients from multiple sectors from the likes of Google, Universal, Sleek, BBC, Channel 4, Deal Real, and charities Urban Development and Crimestoppers. As well as well as making an impact with youth lifestyle publication Flavourmag which she co-owned for 8 years.
As an accomplished journalist with a specialism in arts, lifestyle and entertainment she has contributed features to Pride Magazine, The Voice Newspaper, Street Cred Magazine, The Birmingham Post, Black Hair to name but a few.
Her journalistic research skills were also put to use whilst working as an assistant producer on TV shows such as 10 Years Younger (Channel 4), Holiday Showdown (ITV), 60 Years of RnB (MTV) and Richard and Judy (Channel 4).
She is passionate about championing diversity, empowering women and inspiring and developing the skills of the next generation of creative talent. Her motto is difficult takes a day and impossible takes a week if you keep your eyes on the prize.”
