Welcome to Headstone Manor Park.
As part of Harrow’s Headstone Manor restoration plans, we met some locals involved in the development work. This single podcast supported their application for additional funding to complete the work and brought together the various borough residents who are the heart and soul of the park.
Headstone Manor Park underwent a major £1.3m restoration and development between 2019-2021, part of the Parks for People project, transforming it into a nature oasis with wetlands, de-culverted Yeading Brook, new footpaths, playground, and orchard, to enhance flood resilience, improve water quality, and reveal the site’s history surrounding the medieval manor. The development involved opening the brook from its concrete pipe, creating wetlands and flood basins for wildlife and flood management, and adding heritage trails, educational spaces, and upgraded recreation facilities, with completion in 2021.
