2024

Pilot Season is a unique annual campaign launched in 2023 in the UK by Unedited. Pilot Season aims to engage the British audio production industry in entrepreneurial collaboration by showcasing original intellectual property, formats and narratives. Each year, we produce full length pilot episodes of original ideas. In its second year, five companies joined forces to promote creative collaboration: Breaking Atoms, Kingtown, Mags Creative, Reduced Listening and Unedited.

Including:

Sarah Rector – Narrative documentary about the richest little Black girl in 1900s Oklahoma. Written by Maxine Watson (African Queens, Netflix) and narrated by Deborah Ayorinde (Them, Amazon Video).

Dead Ting – A coming-of-age scripted comedy horror written by Peter Lay (Degree) and directed by Dani Moseley (Dreaming Whilst Black).

2023

Our first Pilot Season campaign features four continuous and repeatable series formats. It’s a mixtape for formats! Expect to hear exciting new factual content covering music, fashion, society and culture from some familiar and new voices, including Gary Younge, Joelah Noble, Ade Oladipo and more.
