Tolulope Olaitan Oyinade Ayinke Uyeme Adepegba also known as Lady T, is an award – winning radio and TV presenter whose been blessing the airwaves for almost a decade.
Lady T kickstarted her career in radio at the age of 22 when she responded to a call for volunteers at her college’s new radio station. Being naturally curious, Lady T went along with a couple of friends and before long, (unbeknownst to her), began to immerse herself in what would eventually become her future career.
Despite a growing passion for radio, Lady T went on to study Music and Media Management at London Metropolitan University hoping to work in record label management. After University, Lady T secured an internship at MTV as a production assistant, where she gained skills in TV production and management. However her mentor, DJ Gary G Smith, noticing the young lady’s talents, asked Lady T to become a broadcasting assistant at BBC Radio Oxford’s new Urban Gospel experience show.
After a year of working behind the scenes, Lady T became the show’s co-presenter / producer – gracing the airwaves for another four years until 2013. It was in this year, Lady T joined the national broadcaster – Premier Gospel taking over the reins as presenter for the popular drive time show.
With her infectious personality and fantastic sense of humour, T rapidly grew in popularity with the audience and soon became co-host of the flagship Saturday Breakfast show, broadcasting on both Premier Gospel and Premier Christian radio stations.
During this time, Lady T has interviewed Gospel greats including Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin and Michelle Williams from Destiny’s Child, Marin Winans and so on. She has also hosted numerous high profile events including the Wise Women Awards, Premier Gospel Week, LIVE DVD recording for MOBO award winner, Living Faith Connections Choir, Charles Jenkins & so on.
Her passion for gospel music and love of people shines through; which has led to Lady T winning some awards including Gospel Touch Awards (Best On Air Personality) in 2014 and Wise Woman Award (Woman in Media) – Nominated.
Inspired by ‘failure’ yes, in the fair Lady’s own words – “failure pushes me to fully pursue & reach my goals. Failure is not an option”, when she is not blessing the masses with her dulcet tones, T loves nothing more than fuelling her passion for fast cars and globe-trotting (she has travelled to Kenya, America, Malta, Nigeria, Dubai, Spain, Greece & so on.
In addition to radio and TV presenting, Lady T’s services also including being a guest panelist, event host, voice over work and music & media consulting.
